The Evangelism Institute exists to shape mission-focused leaders to reach North America with the Christ-centered, Seventh-day Adventist message of hope and wholeness. To accomplish this, we make available to union, conference and church leaders a variety of field-tested best practices, each driven by a multiplication framework that includes five distinct parameters: Disciple-Making, Developing Mission-Focused Leaders, Revitalization & Church Planting, Creating Networks and Establishing a Movement.
Every year, we coordinate field schools of evangelism throughout the Division. Each field school is attended by Master of Divinity (MDiv) students from the Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Students are involved in three primary functions: 1) evangelistic visitations of guests and others, 2) assistance with evening public meetings, and 3) attendance and assignments for MDiv course credit. Field schools are meant to engage students and local church members in soul-winning.
There are two field school options. A conference can invite an Evangelism Institute professor to be the evangelist for a series in a specific location, or a local conference/seasoned evangelistic pastor can present the series and mentor the students.
As part of the revitalization movement in the North American Division, we offer highly practical and mission-focused equipping experiences for your local conference or union that can turn dying or plateaued churches into growing, vibrant congregations again.
We provide both Seeds Conference and Acts modules to partner with the conference in raising up new congregations. Seeds Conferences are designed to bring awareness of the need and purpose of church planting in local conference and occurs over a weekend. Acts modules are specifically designed to equip church planters over a year-long experience within a cohort support system with other active planters.
We offer weekend trainings that will give church leaders the tools to begin and develop a successful Small Group Ministry that will work on a regular cycle, prepare your church for a reaping event, and disciple the group members and converts toward Christian maturity.
The NCD survey evaluates eight biblical principles and determine how effectively they are functioning within the congregation. We provide the survey, tally the results and are available for support or coaching as needed.
We are available for the coaching of conference revitalization, ministerial, evangelism & church planting directors as well as pastors & church planters.
